_Hello from Peru. Beautiful Ecuador is the norm everywhere. Ecuador is most of the year green , no matter if it is coast, or highlands . On the other side, Peru does not have that kind of greenery on the coast. It is mostly desert or semi-desert + ocean. It is due to Humboldt Current also called Peruvian Current, what is a huge amount of cold water going from South to North bringing enormous amount of plancton. Camaron industry in Ecuador exists due to fish-meal imported from Peru. It is a win-win business for both countries. Humboldt current is like surface of Venezuela + Colombia together_

@@AbundantLivingEcuador You don't, I wasn't referring to you, I was referring to the Peruvian who had an opinion, Peruvians usually speak badly of Ecuador or with sarcasm or always trying to put their country above Ecuador. I wasn't referring to you

Pedro of Abundant Living Ecuador showed me a property yesterday. On open ground with a large bamboo stand between it and the river. A house of modern design. A few hours later I told a friend in Maine about it. Comically (I thought) he again suggested I should return to Maine and take advantage of one of the programs that helps old folks. I say comical because in reality, there is no contest. His calculus uses an equation with invisable terms. Like somehow it is un natural to move away....why?....well it just is. Ive moved to a place where nature has the legal rights of an individual. Ecuador. Where nature is part of the community. Where communal space is not commercial space with plastic smile and the incesant drumbeat of "give me your money". This rat found an exit from the maze and took it. The rats still running don't approve.
